Bone marrow samples were obtained at the time of the initial diagnosis, and the percentage of blast cells was higher than 70% in all samples. Real-time RT-PCR expression data are shown for patients separated into those expressing and not expressing one of the fusion proteins. The box plots indicate the expression level distribution of the patient samples, with the median being indicated by the horizontal line within the boxes. Differences in expression were statistically significant (P = 0.001).
