White balls represent Ag particles. Volume fraction of Al-Ag alloy is displayed with the color ranging from blue (minimum value) to red (maximum value) on the contour plots. (d) Al-Ag alloy volume fraction contour plots of Si substrate. Since formation of the eutectic liquids are possible at the peak firing temperature (873 K), the eutectic liquid can form wetting layer on the Ag particles and on the Si substrate in a remarkably short time (~ 0.0003 sec).
