The imaging of cells. Left panels, MCF7-mock, MCF7-MT1, and MCF7-ΔCT cells were stained using the MT1-MMP 3G4 antibody, followed by the secondary anti-mouse antibody conjugated with Alexa Fluor 594. MT1-MMP (red), DAPI (blue). Right three panels, following a 1-h incubation at 37 °C of MP-3653 (100 nm) with the cells and washings, the cell-bound MP-3653 fluorescence was recorded using a fluorescence microscope. Where indicated, cells were incubated with GM6001 (1 μm) for 30 min at 37 °C prior MP-3653 addition. The inactive MP-3655 derivative was used as a control. MP-3653/MP-3655 (green), DAPI (blue).
