Microflow chamber experiments. Isolated EGFP+ cells from E13 to E18 fetuses and microflow chambers (20 × 200-µm rectangular capillaries) coated with either (A) rmP-selectin, rmICAM-1, and rmCXCL1 or with (B) rmE-selectin, rmICAM-1, and rmCXCL1 were used to observe adhesion of EGFP+ cells (adherent cells per field of view [FOV], mean ± standard error of the mean from n > 3 mice per group) in the flow chamber at a wall shear stress of 1 dyne/cm2. (C) Adhesion of adult neutrophils in flow chambers coated with P-selectin or E-selectin or buffer alone. Significant differences (P < .05) in rolling to E18 are indicated by the asterisk.
