Immunolocalization of CFTR, SLC26A6, CAII, CAXII and NHE1 in the uterus at different stages of the oestrous cycle. High CFTR and SLC26A6 expression were noted at Es and Ps. CAII was expressed mainly in the glands at all stages of the oestrous cycle, while CA XII was expressed predominantly in the glands and at the apical membrane of the luminal epithelia at Ds. At Es and Ps however, high CAXII expression was observed at the basolateral membrane. Objectives 10X and 100X were used to observe the sections under light microscope. No stainings was observed in the section pre-incubated with non-immune normal serum which acts as a negative control. Ps: proestrus, Es: estrus, Ms: metestrus, Ds: diestrus.
