Total protein, immunoglobin M (IgM), neutrophil influx, cytokines and chemokines in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid of wild-type (WT) and S100A9 knockout (KO) mice. Animals with healthy lungs or with pre-existing lung injury induced by lipopolysaccharide exposure were ventilated for 5 hours with low tidal volumes (LVT) (∼7.5 ml/kg).
