These therapeutics are mostly cationic or positively charged, and have the ability to bind to negatively charged groups such as sulfates and carboxyl groups of host receptors. (b) Schematic representation of therapeutics that target the viral glycoproteins. The anionic charged therapeutics bind to the viral glycoproteins and block the interaction of virus and host.
