Effects of aqueous extracts on the cell viability of PC-12 cells. PC-12 cells were treated with aqueous extracts at concentrations from 0 to 2500 μg/ml for 48 h. (a)Ganoderma lucidum, (c)Ganoderma neo-japonicum and (e)Grifola frondosa. (b), (d) and (f): IC50 was obtained from the intercept on the x-axis (y = 0) of the regression line using the linear part of the percentage inhibition (% inh.) curve. The mean absorbance was obtained using complete F-12 K medium with cells only was designated 100%. Results are shown as means ± standard deviation (n = 3). * p < 0.05 compared to the respective control 100%.
