Competing risks proportional hazards regression (competing risk of end-stage renal disease) was used to estimate the HR and 95% CI for each race/ethnic group in comparison to whites (HR = 1) within the same eGFR strata (n=46,393). Regression results were adjusted for age, age-squared, sex, and entry eGFR categorized from 15 to >90 mL/min/1.73m² by units of 15 mL/min/1.73m².
