Effect of Cf-GP on TJ proteins in AGS cells. Protein expression was examined by western blot analysis and cDNAs were subjected to PCR. Reaction products were electrophoresed in a 1% agarose gel and visualized by ethidium bromide staining. (A) Expression of TJ proteins were decreased upon incubation with Cf-GP for 24 h. (B) mRNA levels were also decreased, as revealed by RT-PCR. (C) Decreased levels of cell adhesion protein (β-catenin) and increased E-cadherin, which inhibits β-catenin.
