This schematic representation shows some structural features used for target prediction by the RFMirTarget tool. The seed region, comprising six to eight nucleotides in the 5′ end, is shown in grey. Nucleotides matches are shown by colons, whereas G:U wobble pairs are represented by dots. An example of an alignment gap is also given.
