l-cysteine increases, whereas AOAA reduces microvessel blood flow in tumor-bearing mice. Tumor-bearing mice were anesthetized by i.p. injections of ketamine-xylazine and a laser Doppler (PeriFlux system 5000) was placed on top of the tumor for microvessel blood flow measurements. After a stabilization period, l-cysteine or AOAA were injected s.c. in proximity of the tumor. AOAA caused a marked decrease of the skin microvessel blood flow. Data represent mean ± SEM of n = 6 determinations.
