Kiss1r Is Expressed in LβT2 Gonadotropes. A, RT-PCR was performed on cDNA from female and male mouse pituitaries, mouse skin biopsies, and LβT2 cells, ± reverse transcriptase (RT). Mouse pituitaries served as positive controls, and skin served as a negative control. The primers yielded a 195-bp Kiss1r product indicated by the arrow. Glyceraldehyde 3-phosphate dehydrogenase (GAPDH) was used to verify the presence of cDNA in all of the RT+ samples (lower panel). B, qPCR was performed for Kiss1r on male pituitary, female pituitary, and LβT2 cells (n = 3 animals per group and n = 3 different passages of cells).
