VEGFA induces the shedding of charged GAGs by GEnCs. GEnCs were stimulated with vehicle, VEGFA, or VEGFC for 48 hours. GAGs released from the cell were collected in the cell medium and were ethanol-precipitated. Samples were incubated in an Alcian Blue solution for 15 minutes and absorbance was measured at 490 nm.
