DMA suppresses nitric oxide (NO) synthesis in endotoxin-stimulated macrophages. RAW 264.7 cells were seeded in six-well plates in the absence or presence of a series of DMA concentrations and LPS. Nitric oxide production was measured using a Griess reagent kit, following the manufacturer's instructions. Analysis of variance showed a significant effect of DMA on macrophage function (P < 0.0001).
