The HIV strain names are the same as in previous publication [11]. Dose response was determined as proportion reduction in HIV replication at a given EFV dose relative to HIV replication in the absence of EFV. Viral replication above 100% indicates that suboptimal doses of EFV potentiate the ability of the viral strain to replicate compared to the absence of EFV.
