Cell viability assessed by MTT assay at 48 h compared with the negative control (cells only). BV (<100 mg/ml) induced no severe cytotoxicity in the keratinocytes. The concentration of 1 mg/ml BV slightly increased keratinocyte proliferation. Cell viability was reduced, however, in 100 mg/ml BV after 48 h.
