The plasma level of NO determined in the normal and arthritic groups. The arthritic control rats showed a significant increase in the levels of nitric oxide (*P < 0.02) compared to the normal control group. The indomethacin and NHAG treatments in arthritic rats showed a significant reduction in the levels of nitric oxide (δ P < 0.001 and P < 0.02) compared to the arthritic control group, respectively. Within the treatment groups, no significant difference was found.
