Effects of application of SDZ-205-557 or ondansetron on the intervals between repetitive peristaltic contractions. (B) similar lack of effect of SDZ-205–557 on reserpine treated animals, in which the mucosa was present. (D) Shows the same experiment as in (A), but ondansetron is used instead of SDZ-205–557. Again, no major changes in intervals were detected. (E) Shows the lack of effect of ondansetron on intervals between peristaltic contractions in reserpine-treated animals, with mucosa present. (F) Shows mean data of (D and E) superimposed. No overall significant effects were detected.
