Hepatitis C virus (HCV)-specific interferon (IFN)-γ T cell responses in spontaneously resolved infection. The total magnitude of HCV-specific T cell responses measured by IFN-γ ELISpot assay (spot-forming units (SFU)/10⁶ peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC)) in patients with spontaneously resolved HCV infection using (A) genotype-3a and (B) genotype-1b HCV peptides. T cell responses to distinct parts of the viral genome are colour coded. (C) A comparative analysis of the magnitude of responses of patients with chronic infection and spontaneous resolvers as assessed by IFN-γ ELISpot is shown (p=0.0239).
