Schematic representation of the Paeruginosa Mag complex localized to the bacterial envelope. MagD is structurally reminiscent of C3 and A2M molecules. It is translocated across the inner membrane to the periplasm and is associated with the inner membrane, probably through interactions with MagB, which harbors one transmembrane domain in its C terminus. The orientation of the MagB in the inner membrane was chosen arbitrarily. MagA and MagF, encoded by the same operon, are also partners of the membrane-associated Mag complex.
