The uptake of [³H]resveratrol by prostate stromal (PrSCs) and epithelial cells (PrECs). (A) Time-course of resveratrol uptake by PrSCs. (B) Time-course of resveratrol uptake by PrECs. Cells were pretreated with 0, 10 or 50 μmol L⁻¹ resveratrol for 2 days, washed extensively to remove resveratrol and then incubated with [³H]-labeled resveratrol for the indicated time durations. The uptake of resveratrol by both cells was measured as described in Materials and methods. Data points are expressed as mean ± SD from 3–6 determinations.
