Silencing of LRPPRC or SCO1 causes mitochondrial hyperfusion in mammalian cell culture. Human SH-SY5Y cells were treated with control, LRPPRC or SCO1 siRNAs. Three days after transfection, mitochondria were visualized using an anti-Tom20 antibody. Maximum projections of representative z-stacks as well as enlargements are shown for each condition. Data represent ±SEM of five independent experiments, each performed in duplicate. At least 150 cells were assessed per condition. SD are indicated.
