Viral RNA levels decreased in tissue T cells between 4 and 10 weeks PI (A), while viral RNA levels increased in splenic macrophages during the same time period (B). There were significant differences between the 4- and 10-week viral levels in both T-cell subsets in the spleen and colonic lymph nodes (P < 0.05) and within the macrophages (P < 0.01).
