GO and TRANSFAC analysis of genes co-regulated by E2F1 and UHRF2

The top 150 E2F1-induced genes displaying the greatest reduction in expression in shUHRF2 cells were analyzed for over-represented GO categories or putative transcription factor-binding sites using the GATHER website. Apoptosis and programmed cell death were the top represented functional categories, and E2F1 binding sites were the most prevalent represented TRANSFAC site. E2F target genes were least induced in shUHRF2 cells.
