Interconnections between GUVs induced by AnxA2 derivatives. GUVs containing 0.2 mol % TopFluorPI(4,5)P2 were incubated with AlexaFluor® 568-labeled AnxA2 (90 nm), A2t (81.6 nm), or the AnxA2 core domain Δ32 (914 nm) in the presence of 250 μm Ca2+ and then inspected by fluorescence microscopy. Note the formation of interconnections/junctions induced by the different AnxA2 derivatives. These junctions are rich in protein and PI(4,5)P2. Bars, 5 μm.
