MFP device. The device consists of three components: the microprocessor-controlled initiator assembly, the impactor assembly with the air-driven impactor and a stage for positioning of the animal. The injury results from the pressure wave in the form of fluid bolus directly on the exposed dura through the compressed air–driven impactor.
