Time course of induction by drugs. CaErg1200 was grown in the absence or presence of fluconazole (FLU), clotrimazole (CLO), miconazole (MIC), terbinafine (TER), and fenpropimorph (FEN) at different concentrations. Fluconazole, terbinafine, and fenpropimorph were used at 1, 10, and 100 μg ml⁻¹ (squares, diamonds, and circles, respectively). Clotrimazole and miconazole were used at 0.1, 1.0, and 10 μg ml⁻¹ (squares, diamonds, and circles, respectively). Samples were collected at 6, 24, and 48 h. Fold induction is defined as the specific activity in the presence of drug divided by the specific activity in the absence of drug.
