Scale bar  = 100 μm. CD68 is a representative factor which expresses positively in non-specific inflammation mediated by macrophagocyte. The red arrows indicate the NFS debris embedded in paraffin sections which stained to be light brown. At 1w after NFS implanting into subcutaneous pockets of SD rats, the all three type NFS were surrounded by a large number of CD68+ macrophagocytes showed purple. As the time passed by, the purple macrophagocytes decreased, and then vanished, which meant the inflammation reaction ended.
