YIP4a and YIP4b Interact with ECH.

(A) Y2H assay between ECH, YIP4a, and YIP4b with C-395 and GN4-4 as negative interaction controls for prey and bait, respectively. To detect autoactivation of the prey constructs, a pEG202 derivate with a deleted lexA binding domain sequence (ΔSphI; Grebe et al., 2000) was used as bait.

(B) Co-IP assay of Myc-ECH and HA-YIP4a or HA-YIP4b transiently expressed in Arabidopsis cell culture protoplasts. The top plots show the HA immunoprecipitation (IP), and the protein gel blot was performed using an anti-Myc antibody (α-Myc). The bottom plots show the results of the reciprocal experiment.
