Auditory stereociliary bundles are reoriented through a Vangl2-independent mechanism. C, D, At P4, the magnitude of the planar polarity phenotype in CKO mice is diminished and stereociliary bundle orientation appears less severely affected. E, F, For hair cells in tissue labeled between P10 and P12, planar polarity development appeared complete and stereociliary bundle orientations were more similar between Vangl2 CKOs and littermate controls.
