Immunoblot analyses of TNC receptor proteins of MCF-7 cells after TGF-β and TNC treatments. (a) Results of immunoblotting of integrin subunits of TNC receptors in MCF-7 cell lysates. (b) Quantification of bands of the subunit proteins in the treated cells showed significant increase in integrin αv after TNC- and TGF-β1/TNC treatments, as compared with the control case (Cont). While TNC addition significantly increased β6 amounts, TGF-β1/TNC did so more dramatically. The integrin α2 subunit showed slight but significant increase after TGF-β1 treatment (mean±s.d.; *P<0.05, **P<0.01, ***P<0.001). As a control, the β5 was not altered by any of the treatments.
