Clathrin is required for actin recruitment at cell-cell contacts. Jeg3 cells were transfected with Cy3-tagged control (a) or clathrin-targeted siRNAs (b). 48h after transfection cells were trypsinized and seeded on glass coverslips to allow the formation of new adherens junctions. 12 h after seeding, cells were fixed and labeled for E-cadherin (green) and actin (red).
