Adenine inhibits IP3-mediated increase in cytosolic [Ca2+]i. a Analysis of the flurophore emission in response to uncaging IP3 shows a rapid increase in cytosolic [Ca2+]i over approximately 5 ms, with a gradual decline over the next 40 ms, as seen in the darker line from a control T-6 cell.
