Role of GluR6-containing kainate receptor in the denitrosylation and activation of procaspase-3 during I/R in hippocampus. (a) Procaspase-3 denitrosylation, (b) procaspase-3 activation, (c) expression of FasL, (d) expression of Trx2 were measured followed by 3 h reperfusion (a) or 6 h reperfusion (bd). NS102 (10 mM), an antagonist of GluR6, was administrated 30 min before ischemia. The samples were processed using the biotin switch method followed by western blotting. NS102 almost prevented the denitrosylation and activation of procaspase-3 and the upregulated expression of FasL and Trx-2 after I/R. n=4; *P<0.05 compare with sham group, #P<0.05 compare with DMSO (I/R) group.
