A. Jurkat cells were infected with HIV-1 at a moi of 0.01, in the absence or presence of 3.57 µM balsamin, and cell-free supernatant was collected at indicated days for monitoring HIV-1 production by RT assay or p24 capsid ELISA. B. The values obtained in the absence of balsamin were arbitrarily set as 100%. C. On the 11th day, protein extracts were collected to analyze by Western blot the effect of balsamin on accumulation of HIV-1 p24, p41 and p55 proteins. Actin serves as a loading control. Error bars represent ±SD of two independent experiments performed in duplicate.
