Glutathione (GSH) depletion by buthionine sulfoximine (BSO) impairs IL-2 secretion from Jurkat T cells. Depletion of intracellular GSH in Jurkat T cells by treated with 100 μM BSO for 24 hours reduces phytohaemaglutinin (PHA; 1 μg/ml; 24 and 48 hours) induced secretion of IL-2.
