Effect of pH on the transcription of pacC and aflR genes in wild-type and mutant strains of A. nidulans grown at three different pH values. Culture conditions proceeded as described for Fig. 1, but medium was added of 100 mM citrate buffer at the indicated pH values, and incubation lasted for 72 h. Gene transcription levels were analyzed as described for Fig. 1.
