MDM2-ALT1 and MDM4-ALT2 splicing do not correlate with patient survival. Five-year survival estimates of the patients in each risk category were made using the Kaplan-Meier method. No significant correlation was observed when the proportional hazards regression model was used for comparing the survival of patients (stratified according to RMS risk level) with occurrence of splice variants (A) MDM2-ALT1 (stratified log-rank P = .2395) and (B) MDM4-ALT2 (stratified log-rank P = .8730).
