HDL, but not LDL, stimulates basal tocopherol secretion by Caco-2 monolayers. Monolayers were treated with BMS201038 and mixed micelles, with or without T0901317 as in Fig. 1 and 2. Either HDL (0, 6 or 12 μg/mL)(A) or LDL (0, 6 or 12 μg/mL) (B) were added to the basolateral compartment at 0 h, and basal tocopherol was determined after 24 h.
