FXR1-WT (▪) and FXR1-KO (□) macrophages (50×106 cells) were untreated or pre-treated with 4HPR (0.625 µM) for 21 h and then unstimulated or stimulated for 3 h with LPS (50 ng/ml). Cells were harvested and resuspended in BHA solution. (A) and (B) AA levels in FXR1-WT and KO macrophages respectively; (C) and (D) DHA levels; (E) and (F) AA:DHA ratios. Results are presented as mean ± SEM of four independent experiments. Differences were analyzed by one way ANOVA followed by a Student-Newman-Keuls secondary analysis, and were considered to be significant at p≤0.05. * indicates p<0.05.
