Effects of the PCS extract on mitochondrial biogenesis in H₂O₂-treated HepG2 cells. (a)–(d) HepG2 cells were treated without (−) or with 200 μg/mL of the PCS extract for 24 h, and 1 mM H₂O₂ was added during the last 3 h. The mRNA levels of hPGC1α (a) and hCPT1α (b) and protein levels (c) were measured. (d) Genomic DNA was isolated from HepG2 cells. Long PCR of the mitochondrial genome was carried out.
