PGIS overexpression increases NADP (H): quinoneoxidoreductase 1 (Nqo 1) expression in the lung at baseline and after bleomycin administration. PGIS OE⁺ mice and littermate control PGIS OE⁻ mice were intranasally administered 0.08 U of bleomycin at day 0. Mouse lungs were harvested at days 0, 3, 6 and 11. Total RNA was extracted from the lung tissue. The mRNA levels of Nqo 1 in the lung were determined by real-time PCR.
