BALB/c mice (n = 6/group) were treated i. p. with iORFV at a dose of 5×104 TCID50 of either strain of iORFV. PBS-inoculated animals served as control. Peritoneal lavage cells were collected 6 or 12 h after iORFV administration and analyzed for IFN-γ expression using a quantitative RT-PCR. Values shown are means ± standard error of means (SEM). Statistical analyses were performed using the one-way ANOVA and as post hoc analysis the Newman-Keuls Multiple Comparison Test. *p<0.05, ***p<0.001.
