Long-Evans Tokushima Otsuka (LETO) and Otsuka Long-Evans Tokushima Fatty (OLETF) rats were fed control chow and divided into 4 groups at 29 weeks after checking the body weight of all rats (control: LETO; SAC diet: LETO-SAC, OLETF, OLETF-SAC). SAC was given via a 0.45% dietary mixture from 29 weeks of age, and blood was collected at the times indicated. Control (LETO): open circle; OLETF: closed circle; OLETF-SAC: triangle.
