MLH1 and SYCP3 were stained in Meiob ^+/+ pachytene and Meiob ^−/− pachytene-like spermatocyte (A) and oocyte (B) nuclear spreads. MLH1 foci were undetectable along axial elements in Meiob ^−/− meiocytes.
