Figure 2

Acute dose–response and time–response curves for s.c. morphine and UMB 425 treatment for the hot plate and tail-flick assays. Male, Swiss-Webster mice were treated with morphine (0.1–20 mg/kg, s.c.) or UMB 425 (0.1–20 mg/kg, s.c.). Latencies were recorded 30 min after drug administration and every 20 min thereafter for 150 or 210 min. (a) Dose–response and time–response curves for s.c. morphine in the hot plate assay. (b) Dose–response and time–response curves for s.c. morphine in the tail-flick assay. (c) Dose–response and time–response curves for s.c. UMB 425 in the hot plate assay. (d) Dose–response and time–response curves for s.c. UMB 425 in the tail-flick assay.
