Analytical Ultracentrifugation data for CaM and nNOSred binding: van Holde-Weischet integral distribution graphs for CaM (2S) binding to nNOS-red (5S and above) for a 1:0.5 M ratio of CaM to nNOS. A clear difference in binding strength is evident from the relative amount of free CaM for wild type nNOS (grey circles, about 40% free CaM) versus mutant R753A nNOSred (black circles, about 65% free CaM). The loading concentration of CaM was 250 nM. The sedimentation coefficient reported is corrected to standard conditions at 20 °C and in water.
