Infusion of mesenchymal stromal cells (MSC) or medium was given within 1 h of conditioning with 920 cGy total body irradiation. The control groups consisted of 6 dogs which received sham treatment with infusion medium only. Four dogs were treated with dog leukocyte antigen identical MSC. Of the 4 dogs treated with unrelated MSC, only two were evaluable for engraftment (E669 and E672).
