The graph shows averages from the 20 fresh samples in Table 1, separately for whole blood (WB), all-cell-pellet (ACP), buffy coat (BC), and residual blood cells (RBC), each derived from the same volume (5 mL) of fresh whole blood. White blood cell counts equivalent to 5 mL of whole blood were derived in a manner similar to DNA yields (see Appendix).
